Attachments can't be viewed internally (unless you embed them which is a pain in the ass if you have many) and aren't cached/stored locally. We never know what the future holds, what if Notion goes bankrupt next year? I want a solid exit strategy.Īlso in other aspects it doesn't feel like a good place to store everything. Some of the functions get me very excited (the templates are incredible for example, and I love the database functions) but at the same time there are so many serious drawbacks that to me it doesn't yet feel like a trustworthy replacement for Evernote, no matter how much I want it to be.īy far my biggest gripe is that there is no way to export your pages including their attachments.
Notion as it is it seems unfinished, and even rushed. I downloaded the apps, imported some of my Evernote folders and I was very impressed and highly disappointed at the same time. So when I heard about Notion I was curious to say the least.
I'm an avid Evernote user, which I've used for a decade or so, but it hasn't really kept up with the times.
